A Chance Auction is a simple concept that allows the Jerusalem Winter Ball to raise a great deal of money for the charity. Each company that decides to participate has the option of donating either one gift or a package of gifts and receiving in return significant advertising exposure at the Ball.
The Chance Auction works like this. Throughout the night of the Jerusalem Winter Ball, each participants will have the opportunity to examine each the gifts for auction at their leisure and can then purchase raffle tickets. Each participant who wants a specific gift then deposits a raffle ticket in the box of the gift he wants. At the end of the night, a raffle will be drawn for each gift and the person who purchased that ticket will win it.
There will be a limit of 20 gifts included in the Chance Auction. For gifts valued under NIS 500, a NIS 200 listing fee is required.
In addition to the Chance Auction at the Ball, there are also opportunities for participants to win prizes through the JerusalemWinterBall.com website.
For businesses who want to donate gifts to the Jerusalem Winter Ball but feel that the specific nature of the Chance Auction isn't for them, there will also be a door prize that will be raffled off to all the Ball’s participants. Gifts can be submitted for the door prize as well.
